Hope Christian finished the 2017 season with a disappointing 3-6 record. With their 1-3 region record and a place finish in Class 8 Man region one, the Eagles earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. Hope Christian's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Evangel Christian Alabaster by a score of 60-12. It marked the first time since the 2014 season that the Eagles qualified for the playoffs. Since 2010, Hope Christian has gone a combined 52-34. Their 60.0% winning percentage ranks 4th in Class 8 Man over the past eight seasons. Over the past 20 seasons, Hope Christian has managed to compile a record of 107-67. Their 62.0% winning percentage ranks 4th in Class 8 Man and 5th in the . The Eagles are led by head coach Matt Davis who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 3-6 record in his first season at Hope Christian. Under his direction the Eagles have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Davis.
